When John popped the question to Mary a year ago, they both knew immediately how they wanted their wedding to unfold. They would elope to Acapulco and get married on a beautiful terrace at sunset, with nothing but the judge’s voice and the Pacific breeze around them. And that’s exactly what happened.

“We met and fell in love in Acapulco” says Mary. “We knew we’d want to marry here, and it was magical: a private moonlight dinner out on our terrace, a string quartet that played just for us as we slowed-danced the night away and fireworks going off just before midnight. Acapulco Weddings is a full service wedding planning organization which can help you plan your new beginning with a destination wedding in Acapulco, Mexico. We can save you time, worry and money. Our consultants are dedicated, caring, and sensitive with outstanding attention to detail. Our main goal is to help keep you on track and stay within your projected budget. Planning any event in another country can be frustrating because ordering flowers, cakes, entertainment, food services, legal documentation, blood tests, and all other pre and post event schedules are hands on services that can only be performed when your wedding planner resides on site.

This is your very special day and not one thing should go wrong. Fernanda has lived in Acapulco for over 17 years and works with all local vendors, hotels, flower shops, musicians, photographers and videographers. Our consultants will check and then double check everything to make sure you have your dream wedding.

Fernanda has coordinated over 90 weddings in the past four years and is able to coordinate, direct and be responsible for all aspects of the ceremony and reception. Our coordinators can help make sure your wedding day is filled with many happy and loving memories whether it is an intimate ceremony for just the two of you or an elegant magnificent wedding with budgets of all sizes


Doing it Right
If you choose to get married in Acapulco, you can have a civil ceremony or a religious service or both. The civil ceremony is legally recognized throughout the world and is conducted in Spanish by a judge (our wedding coordinators may provide a translation of the judge’s vows).

The Judge’s vows can not be changed, so couples often opt for a second ritual service so they can write their own vows or tailor their special ceremony to their own religious or cultural traditions. Couples can also have the civil or legal ceremony back home and have the religious or ritual ceremony in Acapulco.

The civil ceremony requires:
1. Copies of both birth certificates and passport
2. Lab work completed in Acapulco
3. Copy of each tourist visa received on the flight to Acapulco
4. Four (4) witnesses aged 18 years or older. We can provide witnesses if needed.
5. Divorce decree, if applicable. It is necessary to be divorced at least one year in order to get married in Mexico.

Prices for a wedding in Acapulco vary depending on your choices and “extras”. Make it as simple or as elaborate as you wish, but rest assured that you’ll have unforgettable memories of the most important day of your life.

When we decided to get married in Acapulco, Mexico instead of our native country, we soon realized that we were putting ourselves at risk from things not going flawlessly. We anticipated that a local Acapulco wedding coordinator would help us, especially since our knowledge of the city, the culture, and the language was limited.

As we began to work with Fernanda, we knew that we had someone who was responsive, professional, and very attentive to our desires. She was able to recommend us to professional, local vendors and services for the rehearsal dinner, wedding, and reception. She even coordinated the legal ceremony with a local judge.

Our experience with Fernanda exceeded our expectations, and we are not only grateful for her hard-work, but we would also highly recommend her to anyone seeking to have a wonderful wedding in Mexico.

Ola and I wanted to thank you for everything you did to make our wedding day amazing.

Not being a citizen of Mexico or being proficient in the language, We were nervous planning a wedding there. We are so lucky we found you. The wedding was exactly what I wanted.

From the flowers to the musicians to the amazing reception and dinner everything was perfect and you managed it was with such a high degree of professionalism. You did your work from the sidelines and really allowed us to be in the spotlight without. We were very impressed.

The vendors you chose for the occaision did beautiful work as well. The flowers were exactly what I had in mind, the photos were outstanding and the quality of food and service at Madeiras was amazing. As you know, we live in California and it is very convenient to travel to Mexico. If we run in to anyone that plans to have a wedding in Acapulco we will certainly send them your way.

From the first moment we registered online, we immediately felt comfortable and grateful. Your insight, knowledge, contacts, and ideas with in the Acapulco and Puerto Marques Bay area, provided us with exactly what we were seeking.

Your choice of photographer, hair stylist, cake, yacht, food, judge and flower arrangements were amazing. We placed a lot of trust and faith in your ability, and you never once let us down.

We feel you went above and beyond; before, during and after the actual day. You took care of every detail and executed without a flaw. We had so many compliments on the photos and bridal Bouquet. We will highly recommend you to anyone interested in your services.

Even with the language barrier, it made the experience that more authentic. It was never a problem. It honestly was the most romantic and stress free day of our entire lives. We were so happy and excited the entire time we were there. We can't wait to go back. I wish we could get married again, every year!

My experience with Fernanda was amazing, I only wish I had found her earlier in my wedding planning. Fernanda was very responsive to all of my questions and concerns and emailed me daily. She was such help. Fernanda went out of her way to find me an English-speaking minister to perform the wedding ceremony before I decided to bring my own minister from Houston.

Fernanda made the most amazing and beautiful wedding cake for us. She brought a taster of the wedding cake to my hotel months prior to the wedding for my family to sample and it was delicious. I showed her a picture of the roses I wanted on the cake and she was able to get them. The cake delivered the day of the wedding was beautiful…it was delivered on time the flowers on it were gorgeous and it was the best wedding cake I have ever had!!

Had I been in touch with Fernanda earlier it could have saved us a lot of time and energy with shipping to Acapulco because she could have taken care of those items locally (such as gifts for guests, rafts, visors, etc.).

Fernanda also arranged for Isabel to do my make-up and she was very professional and her prices were very reasonable. She arrived on time and my make-up was perfect and lasted through the entire evening!! She also offered to do the make-up for my mother and sisters.

Fernanda also helped arrange transportation, golf and other outings for the group. I cannot begin recommend her enough for services…she truly became a friend!
