Doing it Right
If you choose to get married in Acapulco, you can have a
civil ceremony or a religious service or both. The civil
ceremony is legally recognized throughout the world and
is conducted in Spanish by a judge (our wedding coordinators
may provide a translation of the judge’s vows).
The
Judge’s vows can not be changed, so couples often opt for
a second ritual service so they can write their own vows
or tailor their special ceremony to their own religious
or cultural traditions. Couples can also have the civil
or legal ceremony back home and have the religious or ritual
ceremony in Acapulco.
The
civil ceremony requires:
1. Copies of both birth certificates and passport
2. Lab work completed in Acapulco
3. Copy of each tourist visa received on the flight to Acapulco
4. Four (4) witnesses aged 18 years or older. We can provide
witnesses if needed.
5. Divorce decree, if applicable. It is necessary to be
divorced at least one year in order to get married in Mexico.
Prices
for a wedding in Acapulco vary depending on your choices
and “extras”. Make it as simple or as elaborate as you wish,
but rest assured that you’ll have unforgettable memories
of the most important day of your life.
